What I really see

Smudged mascara
Upon a tear stained face
Shows emotions
A heart left lost in place
Every tear drop
Falls like rain
Absorbed into earth
A last refrain
Take this pain
Take it
Take it
One too many times
For this heart
Break it
Break it
Alone and misguided
Standing here once again
A turn to the mirror
My one true friend
Distorted visions
I alone see
A fist left bloodied
Shards smile back at me
