A heart of ruby and gold

A heart of ruby and gold
by Adrian Giannini
A little bit hungover
From the frenzy of the dream Spinning pictures Don't paint a pretty me When Im littered on the floor Bathed in my own sweat Disheveled of my own beliefs Melodies barely believed Days blurred of reality Cascading time through the ages Smokescreen of purpose Forces my perceptions From out of it Is my true self Cocooned for time Immaterial to existence Born new to this world Unmarked by mans plague I spread my new formed wings Display a heart of Ruby and Gold
