kiss death

i await the muse the breath

Allow the anger to seethe

bubble

under bleached skin

Talons

raking scars of light

congealing acid

as it flows free

Drip

drip

upon the carcass

blackened

by the sun

My eyes

liquid pools of ink

darken’d

under a harlequin moon

Short

staccato

draws of air

Warm to inhale

warm

on exhale

Feted tongue

feeds beyond

Tastes

contours of flesh

traced

in silhouettes of shadows

left as marks

upon stone

Scared for time

sequences of blurring

Dark

shifts

Sands

in time

click

Click

Allow sound

to escape the burning

listen if you can

Listen

quiet

Hear death

as is beats in two

listen

hear me

As I

kiss

death
